Middle School
Families of middle schoolers thrive at RMCA when they recognize that the middle school years are a critical season of growth, transition, and formation. They desire a Christ-centered education that helps their children navigate increasing independence, academic challenges, social pressures, and questions of identity with wisdom and confidence. They value lifelong learning and growth across intellectual, spiritual, physical, and relational dimensions, embracing challenges as opportunities to develop resilience, perseverance, and character.
These families support a rigorous and relational learning environment that encourages students to think deeply, communicate thoughtfully, and take ownership of their learning. They encourage meaningful pursuits both in and beyond the classroom, helping their children discover their gifts, cultivate healthy habits, and engage purposefully with the world around them. They seek not merely academic success, but the formation of young people who are prepared for responsible, insightful, and creative participation in society.
Recognizing that adolescents flourish through consistent guidance and encouragement, these families partner closely with teachers in the work of formation. They are community-oriented, valuing authentic relationships and shared experiences as they navigate the joys and challenges of raising middle schoolers. Resonating with our Foundational Convictions, they pursue “living well” by helping their children learn to relate rightly to God, self, others, ideas, creation, work, and leisure. Marked by humility and service, they value excellent work, sweet thoughts, self-mastery, and the cultivation of a rich intellectual life, equipping their children to grow into thoughtful, faithful, and flourishing young adults.
